NYC rapper A$AP Ferg is coming to the Baltimore Soundstage on November 23, supported by Californian rapper Rob $tone and Atlanta rapper Playboi Carti.
The Soundstage is the latest stop for Ferg on his “Turnt & Burnt” tour across North America off the back of his latest album Always Strive and Prosper. The album which released this past April, served as a new direction for the trap rapper and featured much more pop-inspired elements in the production, as well as in Ferg’s flow.
For anyone who needs a refresher on Ferg, his true beginnings came via his inclusion on the song, “Ghetto Symphony”, which featured on the deluxe edition of fellow A$AP Mob member, A$AP Rocky’s debut album Long. Live. A$AP. Following that, he released the breakout hit “Work” on the first A$AP Mob mixtape, Lords Never Worry. From there he hit the stratosphere, remixing “Work” with French Montana, Schoolboy Q and a bevy of other rappers on his way to his debut album, the hit Trap Lord. Which had its’ own hit single with, “Shabba” (which got its’ own remix featuring the man himself, Shabba Ranks).
Accompanying Ferg is Playboi Carti, who is best known as the youngest member of Atlanta-based clique, Awful Records (known best for Father). Carti in recent months has become more closely aligned with A$AP Mob and he’s well-known for songs like “Fetti” (which featured Maxo Kream) and his breakout hit, “Broke Boi”.
Finally, San Diego rapper Rob $tone comes to the Soundstage hot off his hit single, “Chill Bill” which uses a flip of Bernard Herrmann’s classic song, “Twisted Nerve” (featured in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Vol. 1) as the backing beat. The song was subsequently remixed by a crew of rappers D.R.A.M., Cousin Stizz and Denzel Curry. Stone’s latest release is his mixtape I’m Almost Ready which dropped last September.
